The COVID-19 hotline is a service operated by the healthcare professionals at the KY Poison Control Center who can provide advice and answer questions. General Information for People with Disabilities : The CDC COVID-19 page is the most reliable source of general information about the virus.

Disability Prep: COVID- 19 Form: This document helpful for medical professionals in the event you are admitted into the hospital during this pandemic.  It includes information about a person’s medical history, medications, and communication preferences. The know your rights document explains what a person's rights are during a pandemic if they are admitted into the hospital. 

Disability-focused Information: The Administration for Community Living COVID-19 page has put together a list of disability-related COVID-19 information and resources. It is updated regularly.

Plain-Language Information: The Green Mountain Self-Advocates and the Vermont DD Council have a plain-language guide to COVID-19 set at a 3rd-grade reading level. The California DD Council created a Spanish-language version as well.

General Information: The CDC COVID-19 page is the most reliable source of general information about the virus. It is updated regularly. Some highlighted CDC pages are below:

Direct Support Professionals: The National Association of Direct Support Professionals has been creating many resources and webinars in response to the many issues COVID is causing for the DSP workforce, including this toolkit for onboarding new DSPs

Vaccine Distribution: AUCD created a FAQ sheet on COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution for the Disability Community.

Vaccine Fact Sheets: Below are detailed fact sheets for recipients and caregivers emergency use authorization (EUA) of the modern covid-19 vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in individuals 18 years of age and older, regarding the side effects, ingredients, frequently asked questions, etc. from each COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 Accessible Resources Home | Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (gatech.edu) The Georgia Tech Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI), with funding from the CDC Foundation and technical assistance from CDC is adapting COVID-19 materials into accessible formats for people with disabilities. The project has created a microsite to house all of the materials which has now gone live. On the microsite, you can request embossed braille, download accessible Word Documents and PDFs, and register for upcoming webinars related to COVID-19 and people with disabilities. More accessible materials are coming soon.
